My name is John, the sales manager of the ABC company. Tom: How do you do , Mr.John? Glad to meet you . John: Me too , I came to pick you up to your hotel . Tom: Thank you , you are very kind . John: How was your trip ? Tom: No, not very good , I’ve got airsick. John: Do you feel better now? Tom: Yes , but I feel very tired , because it’s a very long trip. John: Let’s go and check in the hotel. Tom: OK ,thank you . John: Let me help you with your luggage. Tom: It doesn’t matter , thank you . I can handle by myself. John: This way please , my car is outside . Tom: OK . Let’s go . Classic sentences I came to pick you up to your hotel. 我来接你去酒店。 I’ve got airsick. 我晕机。 Let’s go and check in the hotel. 到酒店休息吧。 Let me help you with your luggage. 让我帮你拿行李吧。 John: Welcome to our company.Please be seated.What would you like to have? Tom: Tea,please. We have heard much about your company,and when did it come into being? John: Actually,it started in 1982 as a state-owned company .In total,it is over 20 years. Tom: Oh,it is still a young company,but the development of your company is very quickly. John: You are right,and our research has told us our products enjoy a relatively large market share both at home and abroad. Tom: We are quite interested in your products.Could we have detailed information about your products? John: Surely,please have a look at our sample.They are the latest models. Tom: I think we have already seen some items we might like to order,but we could still like to study them a bit more. John: Good,we are willing to be at your service as always. Classic sentences State-owned company 国有企业 Our products enjoy a relatively large market share both at home and abroad.我们的产品在国际和国内都占有相对较大的市场份额。 We are willing to be at your service as always. 我们将随时为贵公司效劳。 But we could still like to study them a bit more.但我们还想深入的了解一下这款产品。 Talking at the Table John: I know you've had Chinese food before, but I had to look all over town to find an authentic Chinese restaurant. I'm hoping this experience will be new and different for you. Tom: It all looks delicious! What's the dish in the middle making all the noise? John: That's called tie ban niu rou. It's basicallly a hested iron dish, which acts as a grill. That's why it make the noise. Tom: So I guess it's hot. What's this dish here? Looks like a salad ! John: No! That's cold dish. Believe it or not, we calll it "Tiger Food." It's green pepper, cilantro, and cucumbers. I suppose we could consider that an appetizer. Tom: Is it hot? John: Hot? It's cold. Tom:No, I meant spicy-hot. John: It's just a little hot, but not too bad. For really hot, you should try the noodle dish in front of you. It's called "Ants Climbing a Tree." Tom: What a funny name! I guess those pork are the ants. So what do Chinese people eat for dessert? John: We don't have dessert. We end our meal with some sort of staple food like rice or noodles. But I think if you are hungry for someting sweet at the end of the meal, you can try some of these steamed buns. They' ve been fried just enough to be crispy and golden. You dip them into this sweetened condensed milk. Tom: It sounds great! I don't know how you manage to maintain a healthy weight with all this good food! Tom: I agree that yours are of better quality.But there' s competition from fake products,too.We can't very well ignore that. John: But you know , the quality is the most important for the customer. And you also shuold know "you get what you pay for."
